Evaluation Question Three
What have you learned from your audience feedback?
For our audience feedback we and I used serveral methods. One of these methods was uploading some of our work on Facebook and then asking for feedback.
The final method that we used to get audience feedback was the use of questionnaires. I think this is a good way of gethering feedback as it allowed the audience to think carefully about their answers which helped in giving us better feedback. We asked a questionnaire in order to get feedback on our pitch. I asked a questionnaire when trying to decide what font to use for my print products. Here are the links to the questionnaires and responses

This is our groups storyboard of our music video, we uploaded it onto Facebook in order to get some feedback. Nobody posted any negative criticism about the video and we got quite a few likes and a postive comment too. Therefore we hardly made any changes our music video ideas as generally people liked the overall theme for the video.
Another audience feedback method we used was filming a focus group. After filming the rough cut for our music video, we asked four people, who fit our target audience, their opinions on the rough cut and if there were any improvements that could be made. The feeback was generally rather positive. They thought the video was "quirky" which is what we wanted to achieve. They also thought that the use of cupcakes made the video "girly" which would appeal to our target audience. The focus group was very helpful as they suggested some improvements that could be made. They suggested that there should be more performance as the video is quite narrative at the moment. Another suggestion was that there should be more movement. On the whole this was a good method of getting some audience feedback as it allowed us to ask people within our target audience face to face what they thought and we didn't have to wait for their answers. As this was a good method for audience feeback I also used it to get feedback on my print products too.

Evaluation Question Two
How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary task?
- In what way is the branding "coherent"- why does it all look like it's for the same brand?
It was important for me that throughout the production of my print work, I created a house style, certain image and brand. To make sure I created this, I made sure I used certain colours, fonts and props etc.

It was important for me that throughout the production of my print work, I created a house style, certain image and brand. To make sure I created this, I made sure I used certain colours, fonts and props etc.
The overall theme of our music video was vintage/quirky/girly therefore I wanted to incorporate this in my print work. I used pastel colours for my print work as they are girly but they also have a vintage look to them which fitted in with our overall theme. I also used the same colour images on the print products which were a sort of black and white colour. By using the same colour images this also helped create continuity. Another way I created house style was by using the same style font on both print products.
Font
I only used one style of font throughout this was the style "cracked".
I used this style font as I thought it looked quite arty and quirky. It also looked like the sort of font our target audience would like. As the name of the song was "glue", I think it fits in well as it looks like some glue has cracked on the font. I did some audience feedback on different fonts, I showed the different ones to people on the screen and then asked them which one they prefered. I asked 20 people and "cracked" had the majority of the vote with 9 votes.
Props and Costumes
We decided that we were going for a vintage/quirky.girly theme overall. Also we wanted quite a bit of narrative in the music video. Therefore we needed to come up with a list of props and costumes that we needed. For the narrative this included a gluestick, snakes and ladders board game and lyrics on cards. For the performance element this inlcuded a guitar, hat, vintage style dress and cardigan and accessories. To help with our organisation, we complied a table of props/costumes that people needed to bring in. We wanted the peroformer to fit in with our overall theme hence the vintage dress and teaming it with a hat to make it look quirky. We thought this style would appeal to our target audience.

Final Music Video, Digipack and Music Advert
These are the final cuts and drafts for my music video and print work. I have used the music video to help produce both my digipack and music advert. Whilst filming the music video, I took some shots of our artist to use as images on the digipack and advert. I have done this to create a sense of continuity throughout my products, as if they were all different images, I think they audience may have got confused about who the artist is and basically the whole idea is to sell the artist.
I made sure that I used the same colours, font and similar images on my digipack and music advert. I have done this as it not only creates continuity but also a house style. Whilst researching other artists print products, I noticed that they had a house style on both print products. This helps the audience to recognise the artist and this then leads to promoting the artist.
In order to appeal to our target audience of young females aged between 16-23 (mainly students) I used a quite young and funky font but I also used pastel colours as they are quite girly and therefore should appeal to my target audience. As Nina Nesbitt and her songs are quite quirky we decided to include this in the music video, but I also decided to include this in the print products by the clothes worn by the artist and also the font and images used too.

Digipack Feedback

Audience Feedback: Font
I was finding it hard to decide which font to use throughout my digipack. Therefore I decided to ask 20 girls who are a similar age to my target audience. The results were:
Font 1: 3 Votes
Font 2: 7 Votes
Font 3: 1 Vote
Font 4: 9 Votes
From these results I have decided that I am going to use font 4 for my digipack.
